A Brief Summary of This Position: The Quality Assurance Inspector is an Individual Contributor role responsible for the processing and all final quality control of the finished products to ensure that they meet quality standards. The Inspector performs visual and dimensional inspections and tests on materials and components as during both the manufacturing process and in the completed production state. The inspector may also perform checks in the shipping department to randomly confirm the correct completion of orders. May be asked to assist other crews when needed. Essential Functions Review work instructions and job travelers to verify processes for accuracy Determine different material conditions on parts to determine their acceptability Assist with customer issues and customer inventories Able to diagnose, determine root cause and provide corrective actions on quality related problems Prepare, conduct and document internal audits, agenda and results, monthly Issues corrective actions as needed and follow up on outstanding corrective actions, monthly Analyze/evaluate manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities and review new processes for possible integration into systems Perform data gathering, analysis, and distribution of all quality related data Review and maintain Specification file ensuring current revision (bi-annual) Able to work with a diverse group of people.
